We the People

Featured

We the people are largely ignored; our voices are muted to appease special-interest groups and lobbyists. You may have taken the time in the past to send a letter to your elected officials, you may have posted on their Facebook walls, or you may have even protested in person. If we’re honest with ourselves, we know that those sorts of things simply aren’t working. We cannot look at the state of things now and say that any of this is reflective of our individual voices. Whether you’re a Democrat, Republican, Independent, or purely a sideliner in politics, it is imperative that you make the changes. It’s time for the people we have elected to really listen to us.

We have developed the site so that politicians can limit community members to people over the age of 18 and in specific areas if they so chose. Why wouldn’t your elected politicians want to know what you think about issues affecting you? We developed an “Action Taken” area so that they can tell you what actions they have taken based on your feedback. We are also give them demographic information on who their constituents are and how each segment answered each poll. (Individuals are anonymous, but age, sex, and zip code will be provided for them to better understand who they represent.)

Our hope is that the politicians whom are brave enough to open a community and ask you guys which things need to be changed are also brave enough to enact new policies and initiatives that reflect what the majority of you want.

Encourage your local, state, and national politicians to open community pages on Jaspud.com. We the people must make our voices heard in measurable, actionable ways.
